Increase in number of confirmed Isle of Wight Covid cases

THE number of confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded for the Isle of Wight has increased again today (Tuesday).

The latest figures from Public Health England show a further three cases have been confirmed on the Island, taking October’s total to 40.

The total number of Covid-19 cases here now stands at 509.

These cases are of people living on the Island.

As of Thursday, there was only one Covid-19 patient in St Mary’s Hospital.

The UK has recorded a further 17,234 daily cases of Covid-19 today, and there has been a further 143 coronavirus-related deaths.
