CAR NARROWLY MISSES ELECTRICITY POLE IN BEMBRIDGE CRASH


A car has ploughed into a wall in Bembridge this evening (Wednesday), narrowly missing an electricity pole in the process.

Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene at the junction of Foreland Road and Lane End Road, where a Mazda has gone head-on into a privately owned boundary wall.

The occupants of the vehicle are out and are now being tended to by paramedics.

It’s unclear how the collision occurred with no signs of any other vehicles being involved.

Emergency services were alerted to the collision at around 19:35.

All roads in the village remain open.
